Miss Santa Monica USA is Laura Esqueda, a commercial model and actor with a passion for literature. As Miss Santa Monica USA,Laura will compete for the title of Miss California USA in September; where one winner will be crowned to go on to compete at Miss USA in November. Miss USA will be crowned during the nationally broadcasted competition; And move on to compete at the globally recognized Miss Universe pageant.
Laura received the Award of Recognition from the US Secretary of Defense for creating a mentoring program that helped girls identify personal goals and lay out a realistic timeline to achieve their dreams.
Laura’s personal dream is to make a living off what she creates both in front of the camera, and one day with the stories she writes. As Miss Santa Monica USA, she hopes to leave a legacy that will inspire women to be fearless in the pursuit of their dreams while being unapologetically themselves.
