Brandi Sherwood was born and raised in Idaho. She is the only woman in pageant history to have held both the title of Miss Teen USA and Miss USA.

Brandi moved to Los Angeles after high school. She graduated magma cum laude from The Fashion Institute of Design with a Degree in Cosmetic & Fragrance Merchandising. She also attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. She modeled and appeared in numerous commercials as well various tv shows.

Her 1st pageant experience was the Miss National Teenager scholarship pageant where she placed 3rd runner up at Nationals at 15 yrs old. She went on to win Miss Idaho Teen USA and became Miss Teen USA in 1989. In 1997 she won Miss Idaho USA and became 1st runner up at the Miss USA pageant. A few months later Miss USA, Brooke Lee won Miss Universe and Brandi became Miss USA.

She has been married to New Orleans native Dean Cochran for 25 years. Dean has worked as an actor as well as behind the camera. He is currently the Executive Director of Post Production and Content Security for New Regency films. Dean also works with the FBI in its public/private partnership programs as Sector Chief for InfraGard and as President of the FBI Los Angeles Citizens Academy Alumni Association.

Brandi worked 7 years as a model on The Price is right game show. She worked with both Bob Barker and Drew Carey.

Brandi and Dean live in California and have two daughters, Katie (11) and Ava (6).
