I credit pageantry for helping my daugther’s become the strong, confident and well spoken young ladies that they are!
My focused changed as I competed - from not having a clue what pageantry was all about to being a pageant mom, coach and judge! From just competing for the fun of it to now where it is still fun but at the same time having a purpose - my purpose - using my title to help more ladies going through breast cancer with my platform of Life After Treatment...Breast Cancer Is Not the End! Bringing love, hope and support to ladies going through it now. Partnered with the American Cancer Society, For 3 Sisters and donating care bags to my breast surgeon Dr. Pamela Wright that she gives out when she delivers the life altering news.

Jennifer Elizabeth
Peace is an Air Force veteran, and former journalist and TV news anchor. After working on Capitol Hill as a communications director and speechwriter for Congress, she now serves as the Director of Public and Congressional Affairs Office for Naval Surface Warfare Center Corona. She is a Christian blogger and podcaster for Motherhood in the Latter Days, and founder of Operation Innocence, a non-profit designed to protect military children from child sexual abuse. She is a trained facilitator for Darkness to Light, teaching the Stewards of Children child sexual abuse prevention program.
Elizabeth is the founder of St. George News, the largest news and media organization in southern Utah, volunteers as a judge for the Society of Professional Journalists annual Media in Excellence awards, and taught social media, broadcast journalism and public relations courses in the DC area.
An avid volunteer, she has served on the board of directors for the Washington City Chamber of Commerce and CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate). She was dance captain of the Chaparrals, a volunteer for domestic violence victims and volunteered to mentor at-risk youth. She recently held the title of Mrs. Atlantic States where she placed 2nd Runner Up at Mrs. International.
Elizabeth met her husband, Warren Peace, while working as a morning news anchor. Her husband is a U.S. Marine serving as a COMSTRAT Chief is the San Diego area. They have two children and adopted a Presa Canary they named Bradley.

Katelynne Cox
Miss DC America 2019
There are a lot of words to describe Katelynne Cox – Renaissance Woman, Force of Nature and a Prodigy. However this year, the title she will use is Miss District of Columbia. Cox has made a conscious decision to not be limited or defined by a history of trauma. She prefers to set high goals to create a new, positive chapter for herself while also giving back to those who need it most.
She was the first in her family to attend college, enrolling at 15. After completing a bachelor's of fine arts she used her Miss America scholarships to complete two Graduate Certificates in Nonprofit and Public Management from the University of Missouri.
She has already completed successful careers as a signed recording artist and television anchor and producer for before moving to Washington, DC.
She now, seemingly effortlessly, balances a career as a civil servant and her MBA studies all while personally raising over $45,000 for Children’s Hospitals. She is the manager of fundraising and events at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation as well as the Founder and Executive Director of Silence Is Not Compliance: an organization that rehabilitates rape survivors, lobbies for victim first legislation and educates children on sexual violence prevention. In her spare time, she enjoys kitchen karaoke, dancing as a Red Rocker for the 2018 Stanley Cup Champions, the Washington Capitals and jogging through the city with her two rescued labradors.

Phaedra Pistone, a native of North Carolina and a two-time breast cancer survivor, resides in Mooresville with her husband Tom and their three fur babies Harley, Cru and Pesci. She is the proud owner of Classic Bride & Formals for over ten years. Say, Yes to the Dress!
She graduated with honors from High Point University and holds a BA in Business Administration as well as a double concentration in Finance and Management. She also has a North Carolina Real Estate license.
She is an active volunteer within her community with various organizations like the National Breast Cancer Foundation, North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, American Cancer Society, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, Charlotte Radiology, Make a Wish, Pinky Swear, and Evening Exchange Club. The one near and dear to her heart is Shirley’s Angels (supporting breast cancer warriors). Her personal platform is Breast Cancer Awareness – Care & Cure with H.O.P.E.
Running, Website design, Skydiving, Traveling, Cricut Crafting, and Bridal Fashion are some of her favorite past times.

Mindy Jo Miller is Miss Pennsylvania for America 2019. She was awarded the title on April 6, 2019 at the Ware Theater in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Her pageant platform is “The Silent Epidemic: Bringing Awareness to Anxiety and Depression.” In August, she will compete at the National Mrs. America competition in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Mindy, a gymnastics’ coach, believes in the importance of giving back and making a difference in the people around her. She takes part in the StigmaFree campaign to help end the stigma of mental illness and create hope for those who suffer from it. She also volunteers her time at food banks and community meals around Butler County as well as participating in the Compeer Program.
Mindy graduated from Butler County Community College in Butler, PA with an associate degree in Communications. She is also a graduate from ICM School of Business with an associate degree in Business Management. She is currently enrolled at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition for Health Coaching.
Mindy is the proud parent of one daughter. In her spare time, Mindy enjoys Modeling, Acting, Dancing, and Puzzle Games.

Hillary is a 23 year old PhD student at the University of Delaware studying Education and Learning Sciences. Her research is currently focusing on how young children learn through play. She is also working on validating a digital language screener for two year olds her lab recently developed. Hillary originally got her Bachelor's degree in Psychology with minors in Philosophy, Chemistry, and Neuroscience from Butler University. Her ideal job is to be part of the development department of a network like PBS helpingto create new educational programming for children ages 3-5.
Having battled depression herself, in addition to having been personally impacted by a suicide loss, Hillary's social impact initiative revolves around creating open and honest conversation about mental health. In doing this, she volunteers with the Delaware chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention as a volunteer and trained "Talk Saves Lives" presenter. She thinks it's so important though, to also remember those individuals who remain after a suicide loss. AFSP has a number of resources for surviving friends and family members, but Hillary wanted to be more involved than that. Hillary also volunteers for Supporting KIDDS, the only grief center for children in the entire state of Delaware. With KIDDS, Hillary facilitates the Healing Pathways group therapy series for children ages 5-16 who have lost a parent or sibling. As a facilitator though, Hillary most enjoys working with the parents. She loves being able to provide parents with the skills she has learned to help them better understand and respond to their children's behaviors at home.
While Hillary danced from age 3-18, she has been singing non-stop since birth. For Miss Delaware she performed I Could Have Danced All Night from My Fair Lady. Singing has always been Hillary's true talent and has opened many doors for her. In high school she was part of an all women's ensemble which consisted of 6 members. Angelus (the group) was dedicated to performing both sacred and secular music, polyphony, medieval chant, and pieces from the American sacred harp tradition. This professional group, which Hillarywas a part of from ages 15-18 travelled the United States performing concert tours. Hillary also performed in the New York premier of the song cycle Calling All Dawns, and was hand-picked by the composer to be a soloist in the Lincoln Center production at just 15 years old. She was invited to return to New York to sing in the subsequent song cycle The Drop that Contained the Sea in Carnegie Hall, but decided to accept an offer to dance in the 87th Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade instead.

Allard Tamara
Miss Potomac 2019 is Tamara Allard. Tamara graduated Magnum Cum Laude from Washington State University (WSU) with dual Bachler degrees in psychology and kinesiology. After graduating she moved across the country to pursue a Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology at the University of Maryland where she studies memory, sleep, and brain development in early childhood. On June 22nd, Tamara will compete for the title of Miss Maryland America.
Tamara first competed in the Miss America Outstanding Teen Organization when she was 16 years old and quickly became addicted to the values and vision of Miss America. As a title holder Tamara is passionate about her social impact initiative Preparation for Higher Education. As someone who struggled early in her Education due to her ADHD she passionately advocates for improved basic education by providing resources to students, speaking in classrooms, and by advocating to policy makers. Since first entering the organization she has spoken to over 2300 students and provided more than 2000$ in scholarships to young people. Furthermore, in 2017 Tamara was named the National Spokesperson for National Higher Education Day (NHED) which is observed annually on June 6th. She hopes to use the title of Miss Maryland to further advocate or Higher Education Readiness in Maryland and across the nation.

Holds the title of Miss Mason Dixon, a local title for this Miss Maryland Organization, she will be competing for the title of Miss Maryland at the end of June. She has been competing in the organization for two years. She is an advocate for Emotional mental health and promotes that through her platform, The Spotlight Project. She has been a dancer for 8 years and was a competitive dancer with Urbana Dance Studio for 8 years. She was the head coordinator for the Mr.Urbana Pageant for her school in 2017 and raised over $11,000 for the Rock Creek School in Frederick County which is a school for ages 5-21 that have have disabilities. She also was involved with the arts at a young age playing the alto, bass and tenor saxophone, clarinet and flute from 6th to 8th grade.
