Lauren Simpson holds the title of Miss Mason Dixon, a local title for this Miss Maryland Organization, she will be competing for the title of Miss Maryland at the end of June. She has been competing in the organization for two years. She is an advocate for Emotional mental health and promotes that through her platform, The Spotlight Project. She has been a dancer for 8 years and was a competitive dancer with Urbana Dance Studio for 8 years. She was the head coordinator for the Mr.Urbana Pageant for her school in 2017 and raised over $11,000 for the Rock Creek School in Frederick County which is a school for ages 5-21 that have have disabilities. She also was involved with the arts at a young age playing the alto, bass and tenor saxophone, clarinet and flute from 6th to 8th grade.
